Just putting this out there

I know a lot of us will be buying money makers soon and will have more than we need. Check your local township, if it's anything like Schaumburg, no matter how fast we fill it, this time of year it empties fast. Let's not forget those on need this holiday season! And throughout the New Year to come.  Giving isn't a one time occasion, it is something that should happen throughout the year.

  1. If you donate so much how are they in need? Maybe because you don't really donate like we always suspected

    1. Wow. Making these comments are totally unnecessary. This is HER own website, nobody is forcing you to read things from someone you apparently think is a fraud.
Please take your hatred someplace else. You shouldn't degrade someone for posting a FRIENDLY reminder that people are in need. No matter how much she buys it cannot feed every single person in Schaumburg in need.

    2. Schaumburg had always had a difficult time staying fully stocked as a pantry because of the fact they service Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates and because they are open Monday through Friday. I'm sure we all know the amount of food needed to feed a family of four (average size) and we also know they can barely even begin to fit that in the two bags they give their patrons. They have to give to families equally based on what they have always done. You cannot expect them to start giving one bag just because donations have slowed. I was there today and they are now stocked again. This time of year Dominick's Jewel and local schools do food drives to help keep the pantry full for the holidays. But by January the donations slow and they are once again running low. The key point in servicing the community is to remember it is not about a one time shot to make us feel good about ourselves but to make it a habit so that these shortages become fewer and farther between. I posted this solely as a reminder to everyone that we all get things from time to time we will not use and there's always someone out there who could. I wasn't asking for your opinion regarding my patterns of donations or even the quantity of them. I was simply saying that if you have the time or the desire to try to give back in some form this coming year.

    3. I can not understand how rude some people can be. Do you really think this type of stalking is acceptable? Is your comment even acceptable? You obviously have no respect for others or yourself.

  2. Do you know how many people need food? There's not much chance someone could donate enough to feed all that are needy, I'm sure they see dozens of families each week. Even if Pookie brings a large amount of a few things, there are other things they will likely need to fill in. Have you ever needed a food pantry? Volunteered? Donated? Try one of those.... then come back and post.
